SERTOMA PURPOSE: Making Life Worthwhile Through SERvice TO MAnkind.

WHAT IS SERTOMA ? Sertoma International is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit international organization. Sertoma’s primary service project is assisting the more than 50 million people with speech, hearing and language disorders. Sertoma also sponsors community projects to promote freedom and democracy, to assist youth and to benefit a variety of other local community needs, as identified by the individual clubs. Every year Sertoma Clubs raise more than $20 million for local community service projects. Through these projects, as well as grants and scholarships, Sertoma Clubs return those funds to their respective communities - and they have lots of fun doing it while building life-long friendships.

Sponsorship for Cassandra A wonderful effort by several Sertoma Clubs from North Texas all contributing to a special fund for a Cochlear Implant upgrade for this very special little girl, Cassandra. A check was presented to Cassandra's mother, Barbara, at the Fort Worth Club's breakfast meeting on December 18th. Barbara was the guest speaker that morning.
